The process for applying for an adapted workplace within ING is currently still rigid. A brief interview with Bianca(the client) revealed that ING employees with a disability must first apply for a workplace assessment through Click, an internal HR. According to Bianca, this process can take up to 18 months and should obviously be made easier for the target group.
Here we are talking about a world where everyone, with or without disabilities, can fit into the working society. People without disabilities no longer have to think about treating people with disabilities differently, because ING has shaped an environment so that people with disabilities are already empowered to get to work, where they can access these empowering tools effortlessly and freely at all times.
For this project, I followed the research and testing LAB. What I did for my team was gathered the information about researching, how to prepare yourself before doing a research, the types of research you can do, ways to analyze it after you done the research. Also, how to make a test plan, different ways to test your prototype and how to analyze the results of the tests.
All this information I would give to my team, and together we discussed how we were going to apply it. Next to that I was also team captain, so I also had to make sure everything ran smoothly, make deadlines and divide tasks.
